A Fascinating Life
My life has been adventure packed and never boring. It began with bombs and bullets wreaking havoc all around me and Hitler wanting to send me and my mother’s family to the gas chamber. I escaped by boat to Australia; a fatherless holocaust survivor with my traumatised mother and brother. Since leaving my birth city of Vienna I have had two more near death experiences, nine careers and volunteered for twenty three not for profit organizations from school committee member to chair of a ministerial committee.
Pursuing my Quests of the Head I worked with both the powerful and the powerless, pioneered social innovations and helped establish well known public projects including Adelaide’s Rundle Mall and O-Bahn bus-way. I have performed on stages, busked on beaches, done magic, made music and told stories. I constructed my first cubbyhouse aged ten, progressed to renovating old houses and finally to building new ones. I made furniture and crafts which sold in leading craft shops, planted a thousand or more trees and have lived by Oprah Winfrey’s dictum that “it is the function of every human being to become the complete evolved person we were meant to be”.
Without legal training I represented myself in twelve court cases and won eleven. An alleged mafia boss and a State Government took me to court but I held off their legal teams single handed; The ABC produced two 5 minute stories of my involvement in the law. To hear them, Google “Life in 500 words Fuzzy Trojan” and click on “Fuzzy’s rink of rebellion” and “Fuzzy vs the Crown”.
While successful in my Quests of the Head, I crashed again and again in my Quests of the Heart. I never gave up hope, got married again at 69, and feel that at last I have found the right partner.
I have been an active volunteer for most of my life.
